Where your sponsorship goes

Open Water Sponsorships are pooled into project batches and assigned in the order they arrive. We choose the country and site for each batch with our vetted on-ground partner, based on where a system is ready to be built.

Open Water Sponsorships also fill shared project slots as needed, helping every project reach its build sooner.

When it's built: construction begins at the month-end after your batch is filled, then takes 6–10 weeks for completion. If a batch isn't filled within 2 months of its first sponsorship, we fill the rest ourselves, and we'll notify you directly if there's ever a delay.

What you'll receive: a general completion summary update via social media, rather than a personal delivery report.

Each system is built by our vetted on-ground partner to suit local conditions. Depth, storage and construction methods vary by country, depending on ground conditions, local materials and available equipment, so systems aren't identical from one country to the next. The exact site is selected with our partner based on need and suitability. Once your batch's project is complete, we'll post updates on social media.

We accept PayNow, PayPal and card payments via Stripe. All sales are final: once your order is confirmed, it's relayed to our on-ground team immediately, so payment is non-refundable. See our Terms of Service for details.
